This is seriously addictive, like caffeine addictive but only so much better and in food form because I prefer substance!

This recipe could quite possibly (definitely) be my favourite dessert so far, I’m literally in love with it, and cannot stop eating it, slice after slice, but self-control does mean I can stop at slice 3 lool!

Coffee isn’t something I usually add to my desserts but this now has a special place in my tummy and I want to create a few more desserts with the addition of coffee-ness so watch this space. The combination of chocolate and coffee is a serious match made in heaven, its so dreamy and moorish, you cant help yourself but go back for more.

I think coffee desserts don’t appeal to everyone and sadly (not really sadly at all), I couldn’t share this with my partner as he is not a coffee lover at all, so more for me! The last time I made a coffee flavoured dessert was many years ago, back in school, when I made a Tiramisu, and unfortunately I absolutely hated it and never touched a coffee desert for years after that, but my taste buds have certainly developed a love for coffee now so I’m back on the coffee train thankfully.

After my initial trauma with coffee desserts, and many years later, I tried a Raw Coffee and Walnut Cake, in a local Vegan Café which revived my love for coffee in deserts and this recipe is all thanks to that delicious little slice of raw goodness. I’m not quite sure what was in that cake slice, but it was also addictive and I’m pleased to share my recipe here with you because I now don’t need to buy that cake slice and instead can grab a slice whenever I fancy 😛

This Raw Chocolate Brownie Mocha Slice has three layers, it is raw, un-processed, uses high-quality plant-based ingredients, refined sugar free and did I mention it is super addictive and delicious?!

The base layer is my favourite raw chocolate brownie layer using a combination of dates, nuts and cacoa powder. This is then topped off with a coffee filling using a combination of cashews and coconut butter to create a thick creamy set filling. All of this dreaminess, is then finished off with a homemade chocolate topping. So step-aside Tiramisu, because my Raw Chocolate Brownie Mocha Slice has got it covered.

**I have stated the prep time as 20 minutes as this is roughly how low it will take to process the ingredients for the base and filling and to make the cacoa chocolate topping.
I have also stated the total cook time as 4 hours, because as there is no cook-time, the dessert requires at least 4 hours to set.
