When do you post?
Our postal days are every Monday and Thursday. Please allow up to 7 working days for your order to be baked fresh for you, as we bake to order. (If lead times are longer than this, you can find this information at the top banner of our website or on our social media pages).
How long will my bakes take to arrive?
Bakes are posted Royal Mail 24 Tracked. They aim to deliver the next day but there is a possibility of delays. Untainted Tastes cannot be responsible for late arrival of products. If you would like to upgrade your delivery, you can do so at the checkout.
How will my bakes arrive?
We wrap your bakes in totally clear cellulose film roll, which is biodegradable and compostable, and then they are placed in a kraft postal box with coloured paper shredding for extra safety. All packaging is recyclable, compostable and biodegradable.
How much do you charge for delivery?
We don’t charge any extra for delivery unless you would like to upgrade your delivery option. We may need to charge for local deliveries.
Can I order in advance?
Yes! If you put a note in the notes section at checkout (or email us with your order number) and let us know what future date you’d like us to send your bakes. You can order up to 3 months in advance.
Are your bakes suitable for allergy sufferers?
We can never guarantee our bakes are allergen free. We do not use eggs or dairy in our kitchen, but our ingredients may have been made in the same factory so might have a may contain warning. We bake gluten-free products, but they are made in the same kitchen as gluten products, so as much as care is taken, we cannot guarantee they’re suitable for allergy sufferers.
Where are you based, and do you have a shop?
We are a private kitchen based in Broadstairs, Kent and we do not have a shop premises. You can collect your bakes from us at a pre-agreed date and time.
How long do bakes keep for?
-Our brownies and blondies will be at their best for up to 2 weeks from dispatch or up to 3-4 weeks stored in an air-tight container in the fridge.
-Our cookies will be at their best for up to 1 week from dispatch.
-Our cakes and cupcakes will be at their best for up to 5 days from collection.
How should I store my bakes?
We recommend storing your bakes in the fridge as soon as they arrive and kept within an air-tight container. We personally prefer our bakes eaten at room temperature so remove them from the fridge approx. 1 hour before eating or pop them in the microwave for 20 seconds.
Can I freeze my bakes?
Yes! We recommend freezing slices individually, wrapped in film, for up to 3 months.
Can I send as a gift?
Yes! Our bakes are perfect for gifting as they arrive presented with coloured paper and we will add a hand written kraft gift tag to any order.
Where do you post?
We post across mainland UK, with Royal Mail 24 Tracked.
How do I order a celebration cake?
You can email us or fill out the contact form with what you would like (we have a set cake menu), which size you would like (we bake 6 inch or 8 inch cakes), and when you would like the cake for. All of our cakes are buttercream cakes and are four layers.
